Deputy Commissioner (Ret.) Zohar Dvir’s served as deputy commissioner of Israeli police between 2016-2019 and prior to that approx. eight years in leadership roles in the Northern District as commander of the Valleys Province, deputy district commander, and district commander. His analysis of Arab society is based on deep personal knowledge and experience gained in the above posts, which provided him with intimate multi-angle access to that society. In the sectors, he served resided more non-Jewish than Jewish citizens (approx. 1.25M Arabs [56% of the population] non-Jewish citizens, most of whom were Muslim). Currently serves as CEO of a security consultancy firm (Tor Proactive Solutions) and a fellow at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT), Reichman University.
