Colonel (Res.) Sharon Sasportas

Col.(Res.) Sasportas served as the Head of Operations for the Planning Department of the IDF. During his service, the IDF conducted two major operations: “Operation Pillar of Defense” and “Operation Protective Edge”.

He commanded the guided missiles brigade of the IDF, and helped to rebuild the brigade in light of new technologies and other changes in the new battlefield.

Col.(Res.) Sasportas graduated from Reichman University receiving his L.L.B. in law and B.A. in Business Management. In addition, he holds an M.B.A. (National Security) from Haifa University.
