Dr. Erga Atad

Dr. Erga Atad is a Research Fellow at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT), Reichman University, Herzliya. Dr. Atad holds a PhD in communication and Master’s degree in political communication both from the Tel Aviv University. After receiving her PhD, in which she wrote a dissertation about global media within the context of the violent conflict coverage, she has been awarded a visiting professor in Tulane University in New Orleans. In addition, she was a Post-Doc fellow in the University of Austin in Austin, Texas. Her research interests include political communication, media coverage of terrorism and violent conflicts, fake news and journalism in the digital age. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in political communication both in Israel and in the United States. Currently she is a visiting lecturer at the Lauder school of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy, at Reichman University, Herzliya
