MP Carlos Paparoni

MP Carlos Paparoni is a Congressman of the National Assembly of Venezuela for circuit 4 of the state of Mérida.

Currently pursuing higher studies in Security and Defense at the Nueva Granada Military University of Colombia.

Currently President of the Permanent Commission of Finance and Economic Development of the National Assembly of Venezuela (2022).

Presidential Commissioner Against Terrorism and Organized Crime of the Interim Government of Venezuela.

Vice President of the Permanent Commission of Comptroller of the National Assembly of Venezuela (2017).

Since assuming his position as a parliamentarian in the National Assembly, he has carried out investigations linked to acts of corruption of the Venezuelan government through the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP) where he was a key piece of the investigations and international actions against Alex Saab alleged front man of Nicolas Maduro and logistical coordinator of relations with Iran and Russia.

Since 2020 Mr. Carlos Paparoni has dedicated himself to the investigation of the advance of terrorism in Venezuela under the protection of Nicolas Maduro making the denunciation of more than 13,432 passports granted to Iranians, Syrians and Lebanese possibly related to the terrorist group Hezbollah.

Since 2018 it has kept track of the flows of money from Venezuelan gold from Caracas to Istanbul and the use of these resources in the financing of terrorist groups such as the FARC and the ELN.

In December 2021 he was awarded the World Anti-Corruption Championship, awarded by the U.S. Department of State for producing financial intelligence and corrupt analysis that proved essential to restricting the Venezuelan regime’s illicit financial flows.
