Mr. Ronen Bar

Ronen Bar assumed his position as Director of the Israel Security Agency (ISA) on October 13, 2021.

Bar previously served in the Israel Defense Forces’ Sayeret Matkal unit and he joined Shin Bet as a field agent in 1993. In 2011, Bar was appointed as the head of the ISA Operations Division and in 2016, the head of the resource development department. In 2016, Ronen Bar was appointed Deputy Chief of the ISA.
