Prof. Nehemia Friedland

Prof. Nehemia Friedland, is a research fellow at the ICT, Reichman University, Herzliya. He is a social psychologist, professor (emeritus) at Tel Aviv University and The Academic College Tel Aviv-Jaffa.

Prof. Friedland was on the faculty of the Psychology department at Tel Aviv University and served as department chairperson.  He taught and conducted research on conflict and conflict resolution, decision making under stress and research methodology.  He also studied and wrote about political terrorism, its causes and impact.  During his tenure at TAU, he was member of the Israel Council of Higher Education and of its Committee for Planning and Budgeting.

Prof. Friedland took active part in the establishment of The Academic College of Tel Aviv-Jaffa and was its second president.

He is active in NGOs that promote educational opportunities in disadvantaged communities.  He is an enthusiast photographer and an avid consumer of art, music and dance.  Served as chairman of the board of the Suzanne Dellal Center for Dance and Theatre and currently chairs its general assembly.
