Ambassador Steffen Seibert

Amb. Steffen Seibert studied History, Literature, and Public Law at Hamburg University and the London School of Economics and Political Science, graduating from Hamburg University with an M.A. Amb. Seibert began his career as a journalism trainee at ZDF German Television (public service broadcaster) in 1988 until 1989 and later became a reporter, foreign correspondent (USA), editor and evening news anchorman for ZDF between 1989 until 2010. In 2010, he was chosen as the Spokesman of the Federal Government and Chancellor Angela Merkel, and Head of the Federal Government Press and Information Office. Since August 2022, he has served as the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the State of Israel.
