Prof. Shoulamit Geller

Prof. Shulamit Geller, is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Clinical Psychology Graduate Program at the Academic College of Tel-Aviv-Yaffo, Israel. She is a supervising clinical psychologist, a member of the Israeli Institute of Group Analysis, a research fellow at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) at Reichman University in Herzliya, and maintains a private practice. Her research focuses on the intersection of individual and social dynamics, particularly body image, group psychology and psychology of terror. Following the October 7th attacks, she initiated studies on group protocols for processing collective trauma and led a professional work group examining trauma and societal dynamics in Israel, with findings presented at national and European conferences. At ICT, Prof. Geller contributes to longitudinal studies that aim to characterize international and national right-wing extremist groups.

Prof. Geller earned her Ph.D. in Psychology from Tel Aviv University, Israel, after completing her M.A. in Social and Clinical Psychology (Cum Laude) and B.A. in Psychology (Cum Laude) at the same institution. She served as a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Westminster, London, an Honorary Research Fellow at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.
