Dr. Ariel Koch is a postdoctoral researcher, an adjunct lecturer at the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy, and Strategy, and a research fellow at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) at Reichman University. He is an expert on transnational violent extremist ideologies and movements, with a research focus on the nexus between Islamist extremism, right-wing extremism, and left-wing extremism, as well as antisemitism, online extremist cultures, and radicalization.
In addition, Dr. Koch is a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP) and a contributor to the Global Network on Extremism and Technology (GNET). He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and delivers lectures to diverse audiences, including government officials, academic institutions, and professional forums.
Dr. Koch also serves as the Director of Violent Extremism Research at ActiveFence, a leading Trust and Safety provider protecting over three billion users globally across 100+ languages from malicious online behavior and content, including hate speech, terrorism, graphic violence, child exploitation, disinformation, and more.
