Dr. Daniel Diker

Dr. Daniel Diker is President of the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs following the 22-year tenure of Ambassador Dr. Dore Gold, Former UN Ambassador and Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in November 2022. Dr. Diker is an international authority on Soviet disinformation and delegitimization of Israel, antisemitism, US-Israel Affairs, and Palestinian-Israeli relations. He authored numerous books on the global BDS and delegitimization phenomena. Dr. Diker also authored and edited numerous books on National Security including “Iran’s Race for Regional Supremacy,” and three volumes on “Defensible Borders for a Secure Israel.” Dr. Diker has advised the Prime Minister’s office in communication policy and served as policy advisor to the 24th Knesset Forum against BDS and Political Warfare chaired by MK Amichai Shikli. He also has written speeches for government ministers, MKs, and advised on US-Israel relations. He is a Security and Foreign Affairs commentator on Israel’s top-rated nightly news broadcast.
Since 2013, Dr. Diker has also served as Research Fellow at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism, IDC Herzliya, where he founded and hosted Counter Terrorism Today on IDC International Radio. He has appeared as a commentator on international media networks, including Al Jazeera, BBC, CNN, Fox News Channel, I24 News, TRT International, Israel Channel 14, and Russia Today.
From 2010 to 2013, Dr. Diker served as Associate Secretary General and then Secretary General and CEO of the World Jewish Congress, the global diplomatic organization representing Jewish communities in 100 countries. Dr. Diker received his PhD in International Relations and Security Studies from the University of South Wales Cardiff, UK, writing his dissertation on the Palestinian National Movement and the West. He earned his MA in Government and Counter Terrorism Policy, Summa Cum Laude, from Reichman University, Herzliya, and a BA Cum Laude from Harvard University. Dan immigrated to Israel in 1990. He and his wife Ofira are parents to Maor, Dvir, Arielle, Talia, and Michael and live in Jerusalem.
