Dr. Dan Asher

Dr. Dan Asher is a private consultant specializing in knowledge management, organizational learning, digital transformation, interpersonal communication, influence strategies, and management processes. He brings extensive experience managing multidisciplinary teams, combined with a clinical background and expertise in interpersonal skills, including the psychology of influence, interview methodologies, and negotiation techniques.
Dr. Asher specializes in developing and implementing methods for eliciting tacit knowledge from experts and integrating it into learning and training programs. He has broad practical experience in formulating and applying knowledge management and learning concepts, alongside eclectic academic training in these fields.
His most recent position was Head of Innovation in Learning and Knowledge Management at the Prime Minister’s Office, a role he held until the end of 2021. This position involved external knowledge collection and integration, instructional and facilitation methodologies, conceptualization, procurement, and implementation of technologies, as well as planning and establishing learning spaces and simulation centers. Over the past two decades, he has served as a senior mentor in interpersonal influence and profiling, currently continuing this work within the framework of his reserve duty at the Prime Minister’s Office.
Since January 2022, Dr. Asher has led The Tacit Dimension ([www.danasher.co.il](http://www.danasher.co.il)), where he provides consulting services in knowledge management, learning, and human capital development. He advises large organizations on implementing knowledge management strategies and developing leadership, while conducting training in critical thinking and advanced interpersonal interaction skills. His work includes designing and specifying knowledge management systems, strategic workshops for team leaders, and training sessions for a wide range of clients. He also collaborates with the business negotiation school Shakla veTarya, and contributes to projects focused on eliciting tacit knowledge in the food industry.
Between 2021 and 2024, training was completed in UX design and information systems procurement, with a focus on advanced methodologies in knowledge management, artificial intelligence, and generative AI. From 2013 to 2016, Ph.D. studies were undertaken at the University of Haifa, involving interdisciplinary research on tacit knowledge in professions based on interpersonal interactions. The work was supervised by Prof. Micha Popper (Organizational Learning, University of Haifa) and Dr. Simon Perry (Criminology, Hebrew University). Between 1999 and 2001, studies in Arabic language and Islamic culture were completed, including intelligence training. From 1995 to 2000, an M.A. in Clinical Criminology was pursued at Bar-Ilan University through the thesis track, with clinical training in various mental health institutions such as Beer Yaakov, Lev Hasharon, Sha’ar Menashe, Ma’aban Ayalon, and a community clinic.
