Ms. Naama Tal

An information specialist, Ms. Tal conducted market research and competitive analysis for tech companies in the Bay Area, California, including IPV (Integrated Photovoltaics, Inc.) and TecIntel, a subcontractor of Microsoft, to provide context and focus for developing effective strategies and making informed business decisions.
Prior to providing consulting services, she served as a librarian at an independent private college preparatory school, The Harker School, revamped the library’s web areas–architecture, outdated pages, and unused files to facilitate access to information.
Additionally, Ms. Tal managed, developed, and maintained the library’s collection, as well as conducted research skills seminars to promote information literacy and fluency. At Stanford’s Cataloging & Metadata Services department, she provided process improvements, and established a workflow to diminish/eliminate redundant government records, which improved information retrieval.
Ms. Tal earned a MSc. Psychology & Neuroscience of Mental Health from King’s College London, UK, a Master of Librarianship and Information Science (MLIS), from San Jose State University, and a B.A., Double Major, English and Art History from Haifa University.
Theses include: A Review of Logotherapeutic Interventions for Promoting Youth Well-Being: Potential Benefits and Implementation Challenges (MSc. Psychology & Neuroscience); The Destruction of Libraries in Iraq & Children use of the Internet (MLIS).
The article Which one to choose? A comparison between three aggregators (EBSCO Academic Search Premier, Gale Expanded, and ProQuest) was published in the academic journal Knowledge Quest.
