Mr. Shuki Peleg currently serves as a Cyber Defense Advisor to the Cyber Unit of the Banks Supervision Department. With nearly a decade of experience as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the First International Bank of Israel, Mr. Peleg has a proven track record in defining and enforcing robust security policies, building in-house cybersecurity capabilities, and ensuring compliance with the Bank of Israel and other regulatory requirements.
Before his tenure in the banking sector, Mr. Peleg information security initiatives at the Ministry of Finance as the Head of Information Security for e-Gov. His responsibilities included shaping the cybersecurity roadmap for government agencies, a role he transitioned to after serving as an Information Security Advisor for a government organization.
From 1985 to 2008, Mr. Peleg held key technology roles at IBM Israel and IBM US, including positions as CTO, CSO, CIO, and Solution Architect for the Israeli branches of global enterprises. This extensive experience provided him with a deep understanding of technology strategy and implementation in complex environments.
Mr. Peleg holds a Master of Science in Information Technology and has earned several certifications in information security and audit. His expertise is further reflected in his past roles as a board member of the Israeli Chapter of ISACA and the Israeli Internet Society, contributing to the advancement of cybersecurity and information governance standards.
