Mr. Shabtai Shoval

Mr. Shabtai Shoval has served in Israeli counter-terrorism-related positions in the IDF and other security agencies since the 1980s. His military service includes various roles in the Intelligence Directorate (Aman), crisis management, and technological intelligence units. He served in an elite unit, within the intelligence community, at the Israeli Embassy in Washington D.C., and as an advisor to the Prime Minister’s Office. In the business world, he was President of the Israeli Cable TV Association, Vice President of Telrad Holdings, and CEO of a Comverse (CMVT) division.

Mr. Shoval’s areas of expertise include intelligence research and decision-making under uncertainty, technological innovation, business development, the establishment and management of public and private companies, experience in the public sector, and board memberships in various companies. His experience in counter-terrorism strategies has led him to develop bold concepts both in academic and technological arenas.

Mr. Shoval founded Suspect Detection Systems LTD (SDS), a high-tech company that focuses on Human Behavior Pattern Recognition and terrorist intent detection (www.sdscp.com). He recently published The Chosen – a novel that illustrates the challenges facing a potentially nuclear Iran.
