Brigadier General (Ret.) Nir Regev is a Fellow at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT), Reichman University, Herzliya, and the Founder and President of N.R. Consultancy and Management Services LTD, which specializes in critical sites, VIP, and aviation security, offering consultancy, technology solutions, and professional training.
He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Tracense Systems LTD (www.tracense.com), a company that develops and manufactures explosive trace detectors (ETDs or sniffers). Prior to this, Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Regev was the Director of the Homeland Security (HLS) Division at Israel Military Industries (IMI) Systems, where he established and led the business unit. Simultaneously, he served as Chairman of the IMI Anti-Terror & Security Academy, which provided training and knowledge-sharing platforms on security and counter-terrorism.
Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Regev previously served as an executive in the Israeli Security Agency (ISA), where he held the position of Director of the Security & Intelligence Subdivision (Brigadier General level). In this capacity, he was responsible for Israeli security infrastructure both domestically and internationally, including the protection of international airports such as Ben Gurion Airport, domestic airports, ports, critical sites, and all Israeli diplomatic representations abroad.
Before joining the ISA, Regev served as Director of El Al Israel Airlines’ Security Division, overseeing all security services for Israeli carriers. His tactical field experience includes roles as Chief Security Manager of Israeli stations in New York, Cyprus, and Kenya, where he was responsible for operational coordination and high-level security implementation in complex international environments.
Earlier in his career, he served in the Prime Minister’s Office within a Special Operations Intelligence Unit. In his military service, he was a Battalion Commander in the IDF Infantry Corps.
With more than two decades of leadership experience at the strategic, tactical, and technological levels, Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Regev has played a central role in shaping Israeli security operations and policies. He has provided guidance and coordination for national and international security strategy across both field operations and headquarters planning, particularly in aviation security and critical infrastructure protection.
He holds a B.A. in Middle East Studies from Bar-Ilan University and an MBA from Uno Academic Center.
