Brig. Gen. (Res.) Neri Horoviz

Brigadier General (Res.) Neri Horoviz served in the IDF between 1996 and 2023. He began his military service in the Artillery Corps. In 2009, he took command of the 402 Battalion, and in 2011 he was appointed the Operations Officer of the Artillery Corps. Subsequently, he served as a team commander at the Tactical Command College, where he was a cadet in the first cohort. In 2014, he was appointed Commander of the Adirim Brigade and the Fire Support Officer of the Galilee Division. In 2016, he was appointed Commander of the Golan Formation (282 Artillery Regiment) and served in this role until 2019. In this position, he led the transformation from an Artillery Regiment formation to the Fire Brigade formation — a change that was later implemented throughout the IDF.In July 2020, he was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General and began his role as the Chief of the Artillery Corps, a role he held until September 2023.

Brig. Gen. (Res.) Horoviz holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from the Hebrew University, completed during his studies in the first cohort of the Tactical Command College, a Master’s degree in Business Management from Ben-Gurion University, and an additional Master’s degree in National Security and Resource Strategy from the Eisenhower School, National Defense University in Washington, D.C.
