In December 2021, the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) and the International Institute for Strategic Leadership Dialogue jointly organized Leadership Dialogue 2021.
Taking place from 13-16 December 2021, the Dialogue brought together leaders from around the world to discuss meaningful, delicate, and sometimes complete taboo topics related to business, politics, governance, strategy, and counterterrorism. Drawing on the diverse experiences and knowledge of governmental leaders, academic experts, and established professionals, the goal of the Dialogue is to foster communication in order to determine potential solutions and strategies to pressing global, “glocal,” and local issues. Some of this year’s topics included: geopolitics and potential for war, strategies moving forward in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the dangers of online propaganda, and the looming threat of climate change.
While historically the Dialogue has occurred as an in-person event, this year, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the dialogue was held virtually with 16 sessions held over 4 days.
