Isabelle Arnson is a Senior Policy Analyst at Tech Against Terrorism. She leads Tech Against Terrorism Europe, an EU-funded consortium designed to support small tech platforms in understanding and complying with EU TCO regulations on the dissemination of terrorist content online.
Ms. Arnson works on Tech Against Terrorism’s Mentorship Programme to directly advise tech platforms in developing effective and human rights-compliant counterterrorism policies and content moderation processes.
She holds an MA in Intelligence and International Security from King’s College London and an undergraduate degree from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. With a focus on various aspects, Ms. Arnson’s areas of expertise encompass terrorist and the exploitation of the internet by violent extremists, tech companies’ strategies in countering terrorist internet usage, online regulatory approaches to curb terrorist content and activities, deployment of automated systems for content moderation, and addressing the challenges posed by “borderline” content.
