Dr. Harel Menashri
Research Fellow, ICT, & Cyber, Information Security & Technological Intelligence Expert, Israel
Dr. Menashri currently serves as the Head of Cyber at the Holon Institute of Technology (H.I.T). He is a Cyber Lecturer at H.I.T and at Bar Ilan University, in the Information Science Department, and Research Fellow at The Institute for Counter Terrorism (ICT) in Reichman University.
His main research interests are Cyber warfare, security and protection from cyber, as well as other types of attacks, advanced technology application, incident and emergency response and more.
Dr. Menashri holds a B.A. degree in Humanities and Social sciences from The Open University and an M.A. degree in information science and technology, Thesis topic: “American Cyber Security Policy Versus the Potential Threat to Civil Rights” from Bar Ilan University. Dr. Menashri also hold a Ph.D. in Information Science, Research Topic: “Integrating Cyber Warfare into Different Types of Warfare: The United States of America – Case Study” from Bar Ilan University.
Dr. Menashri served for 36 years as part of the Israeli security system, including working for 25 years in the Prime Minister’s Office on research, security, and protection of critical infrastructure –both civil and defense complex systems (IT and SCADA) – from cyber, as well as other types of attacks, advanced technology application, incident and emergency response and more. In addition, Dr. Menashri served 10 years in the IDF as an Officer and Commander in various roles.
