Maj. Gen. Aharon Haliva

Maj. Gen. Aharon Haliva was born in 1967 and enlisted in the IDF in 1986 to the Paratroopers Brigade.

1999-2000 – Served as Commanding Officer of the “Viper” Battalion in the Paratroopers Brigade. 2001-2003 – Served as Commanding Officer of the training base of the Paratroopers Brigade. 2003-2005 – Served as Commanding Officer of the Paratroopers “Spearhead Formation” Reserves Brigade.

2005-2007 – Served as Commanding Officer of the “Efraim” Regional Brigade. 2007-2009 – Served as Commanding Officer of the IDF Officers Training School. 2009-2011 – Served as Commanding Officer of the Paratroopers Brigade.

2011-2013 – Served as Commanding Officer of 98th Airborne Division.

2014-2016 – Served as Head of the Operations Division in the Operations Directorate. 2016-2018 – Served as Head of the Technology and Logistics Directorate (J4). 2018-2021 – Served as Head of the Operations Directorate (J3).

Maj. Gen. Aharon Haliva is a graduate of the College of National Security. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Bar-Ilan University and a Master’s degree in Social Sciences from the School of Political Science at the University of Haifa.

Maj. Gen. Haliva is married and has five children.
