Dr. Daniel Milton

Daniel Milton is Director of Research at the Combating Terrorism Center at the United States Military Academy and an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Sciences. He has authored peer-review articles and monographs related to terrorism and counterterrorism using both quantitative and qualitative methods. His published work has appeared in a number of venues, including The Journal of Politics, International Interactions, Conflict Management, and Peace Science, and Terrorism and Political Violence. His work has also been cited in U.S. and international media outlets, including The New York Times, BBC, and NBC News. He also regularly briefs and engages with elements at all levels of the United States Government, including the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense.

Prior to joining the CTC in 2013, Daniel Milton was an Assistant Professor at Arkansas State University and a visiting faculty member at Brigham Young University. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from Brigham Young University and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Florida State University.
