Sergeant Daniel C.

Sergeant Daniel C. has an academic background consisting of a Diploma in Social Work from Universitat de Barcelona, a Degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the same Institution, an MA in political Violence and Terror from Universidad de Granada, and an Executive Master in Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs from the Institute Barcelona Estudis Internacionals.
In his professional career then Sergeant C. has been part of the Catalan Police-Mossos d’Esquadra since 1998; He’s been part of the Counter Terrorism and Counter Violent Extremism unit as an analyst, and he currently holds the rank of Sergeant in the Strategic Analysis Unit of the Crime Investigation Office.

Additionally, he’s been giving lectures since 2004 for the Catalan Public Administration, Universities, and other sectors.
Sergeant C. has been a member of the Radicalization Awareness Network (RAN), specifically to the RANPol group (Migration and Home Affairs Department); he also has taken part in various projects under the European Union like CoPPRa (Community Policing and the Prevention of Radicalization) and LIASE II (Linking Impact Assessment Instruments to Sustainability Expertise) and the IVLP (International Visiting Leadership Program) under the United States State Department.
